This Joe's delivers a balance of extraordinarily innovative Italian cuisine served in a comfortable, rustic Mediterranean setting with muted, candle-lit stylishness. French trained Chef Rick Vargas and his brother Michael have added their own unique style and flavor to their father's old Joe's tradition. Mike Vargas Sr. opened his first landmark location, West Portal Joe's in San Francisco in 1951, and a second location in Palo Alto in 1977.
